Newcastle’s French players must learn English or face sanctions
Newcastle boss Alan Pardew has told the club’s new influx of French players they must learn English quickly or face sanctions, as he looks to bed in his new contingent as smoothly as possible.
After finding his side languishing in the lower echelons of the Premier League this term, Pardew raced to invest in his playing squad when the January transfer window opened. The result of which is the arrival of five players from France in the shape of Mathieu Debuchy, Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa, Yoan Gouffran, Massadio Haidara and Moussa Sissoko. But Pardew insists it is imperative they all learn the language quickly or face a dressing down.
